The Blackhawks have played the under once this season and it was in their only home game of the year. The under is a profitable 11-5 in Chicago's last 16 home games. The under is 11-2-1 in the Coyotes last 14 trips to Chicago. The under is 20-7-2 in the last 29 meetings between the clubs. Look for another low scoring game tonight. However, that game was in Nashville and it’s worth noting that Jason Arnott will miss tonight’s game with a hand injury. The Preds are just not deep enough to make up for the loss of certain players and Arnott is one of those guys. He logs a ton of minutes when he plays and Nashville is still dealing with Alexander Radulov jumping leagues. He could be back but he’s not yet and they Preds just don’t have the firepower to compensate. Dallas should be one of the top five teams in league and they won’t remain winless for much longer. A loss to the Preds tonight at home with be extremely troubling for the Stars and frankly, I just don’t see it happening. The Stars need a win and they should get it here. Play: Dallas -½ -1.08 (Risking 2.16 units to win 2). Edmonton +1.32 over ANAHEIM PINNACLE The Ducks just keep on losing games and it’s not like they’re losing to the NHL’s top teams either. They can be excused for losing their opener in San Jose but there is no excuse for losing to Phoenix and Los Angeles. Not that those are bad teams but the Ducks might not be as good as advertised and they’re having heaps of trouble generating any offense. The Ducks allowed six goals last night to the Kings, which means that Jonas Hiller will very likely make his first start of the year tonight. Meanwhile, the Oilers will play just their second game of the year after a fortunate win over the Avalanche in their opener. The Oilers were not sharp in that game and were badly outplayed for most of the game but Mathieu Garon was tremendous and I expect a much stronger effort from this very talented intruder here. Edmonton is loaded with talent everywhere and with a take-back like this on them they could be the biggest overlay on the board tonight. The oddsmakers are definitely not as sharp in the NHL as they are in other sports and they just don’t have a true read on the Oilers yet. Play: Edmonton +1.32 (Risking 2 units). Dooley "1 UNIT" NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES "RUN LINE" WAGER ON THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS (+1'/-150): Even though the American League has produced stunning results that have resulted in blowouts this week, games in this Phillies/Dodgers series for the most part have been very CLOSE. Earlier this week the HOME team had won ELEVEN in a row in this series, so I am not about to give up on the Dodgers yet, especially since their winningest starter (Chad Billingsley) is on the mound this evening. But since the Phillies have their ace on the mound (Cole Hamels) who has won 6 of his last 7 decisions, I am playing the Dodgers on the "run line" tonight at PLUS 1' runs. In my opinion, what makes the RUN LINE so important is due to the fact that the Phillies have NEVER lost a potential clinching game in the "league championship series" round!
