St Louis Blues -112 5dimes.
The Blues will play better all year under Andy Murray, but might not make the playoffs, fortunatly for them they get the predetors in their first game of the season at home. Take the home team here with a generous -112 at 5dimes.


Washington Capitals -140 5dimes
its hard to predict the outcome of these games right off the bat, but its easy to point out the bad teams, predetors, and thrashers = BAD. Washington has Jose Theodore in net, a pretty solid goaltender. Kari Lehtonen and Johan Hedberg are minding the pipes for Atlanta. during last season they allowed an NHL-worst 3.24 goals per game. they will get no break at home today, facing Alexander O.


all season, play these plays as you want, but all my picks in order to track correctly will be 1 unit each.

New York has not started 4-0-0 since winning its first five games in 1983-84. things arent going to change tonight as phily plays thier first game of the season at home.

San Jose Sharks -230 5dimes

los angeles have some huge defensive issues, although they might be pumped up for thier first game, san jose just beat anahiem badly. los angeles have some shaky goaltending in jason labarberra. look for them to lose easily in the shark tank. the chalk is high, but its in the bag

Minnesota Wild -128

Minnesota is 6-1-0 all-time against Boston, with the only loss a 3-2 home defeat Dec. 15, 2005, in the Bruins’ last visit to the Xcel Energy Center. look for this trend to continue with a great price for the wild at home.

the ducks are going to have lots of trouble scoring this season, but there defence is stellar, today they play a team that played last night in the coyotes. look for this to stay under the total easily.

The Blackhawks will be trying to prevent their worst start in nearly 11 years on Monday, when they play their home opener against the Central Division rival Nashville Predators. The Blackhawks posted a 5-1-2 mark versus the Predators (1-1-0) in 2007-08, winning three of four as a host. They held a 28-19 scoring advantage in the season series. The Blackhawks improved over the off season while Nashville didn't in my opinion, and the Blackhawks home opener should create a great atmosphere for them to get there first win of the season.

anahiem ducks at los angeles kings. over 5 -125 (2 units)

the kings are my favorite team, i know they are in trouble here with shady defence add to the fact that jack jhonson is out for 4 weeks now. there defence was already depleated and now they have to rely on 2 18 year olds back there... not good my friends. this is a heated rivalry, lots of goals should happen. this game is my best release to date... take the over 5 -125 at 5dimes


Minnesota Wild -125 at atlanta thrashers 5dimes.

start expecting atlanta to start losing soon, lets start today with one unit. and do our little martingale system and double up on the thrashers loss next time around, but i doubt they win this one against the wild.

the linesmaker knows we still remember the ducks in the stanley cup finals, thats why he still has the ducks favored buy this much in the second game of a back to back after getting killed by a division oponent, and leaving a lot on the ice. its going o be hard to get up for this game against a rested edmonton team. a chance for the ducks to go 0-3 ill take at +125, buy taking the road team.

Nice pick pick on Edmonton PUCK. Always been a big fan of the Oilers even before the Great One's days. Yeah, I'm that that old. 43 in Dec. Favorite teams are the Oilers and Devils.

new jersey devils vs. atlanta trashers over 5 -125

New Jersey will try to snap out of an early offensive funk on Thursday night when it continues its road trip against the Atlanta Thrashers, who were among the NHL’s worst defensive teams last season. not too mention i think they will be the worst this season right along with the la kings.


“We haven’t scored much,” Madden told the Devils’ official Web site. “That troubled us a lot last year, but I think the difference is we were shut out 10 times last year. Fortunately, we haven’t been shut out yet, but we’ve come pretty close. We have to find ways to score goals, whether it’s dirty goals that come from mucking it up or getting rebounds.”

In two regulation victories last season at Philips Arena, the Devils outscored Atlanta 9-5, scoring six goals against goalie Kari Lehtonen in a 6-5 win last Oct. 13. Lehtonen has a 3.58 lifetime goals-against average against New Jersey, while backup Johan Hedberg has beaten the Devils just once in his last seven starts against them.

The Thrashers have again struggled defensively to start this season, as Lehtonen has a 3.71 GAA through three contests. He allowed three third-period goals on five shots in a 4-2 home loss to Minnesota on Tuesday as new Atlanta coach John Anderson was dealt his first regulation defeat.

thanks for the congrats husker. its still early in the season, the oilers look good to me so far. they have added some defenceman who can score and move the puck. and Garon played over his head in thier first two games. the OIL is my favorite canadian team as well.
