Well let's get to this week's poll....

1. Oklahoma
They stay in the top spot until they are beat. They hammered Baylor and didn't look ahead to the Red River Shootout vs Texas this week. This game should be good.

2. LSU
No need to move them down, nobody did anything impress enough to jump up to #2. They had the week off and travel to Florida next.
This is game 1 of 4 to test their mettle.

3. Alabama
I wasn't overly impressed with them on Saturday. Granted they were one of the bets as I used them -9.5 in the first half of which they covered. As like in the GA game, they were nowhere to be found in the second half. They have the week off and play at home vs MS next out.

4. Texas
They hammered Colorado and like Oklahoma didn't have the look ahead. This is game 1 of 4 straight games vs ranked teams 3 of which are in the top 10 and toss OK ST as the 4th. They have to go 3-1 in this stretch to have any chance at the title. A tough task indeed.

5. Missouri
They move up a spot like Texas did. They delivered a spanking at Nebraska and for their efforts gets Oklahoma St at home next. There might be 100 points scored in this game. After that they get Texas. Things are definitely going to get shaken up in the standings. This benefits....

6. BYU
A ho hum workman like win at Utah St. They drop 2 in my poll this week, but I see them moving back up soon. They are the biggest beneficiaries of the power conferences knocking each other out. People laughed when I had them in the poll a few weeks before they made the AP and USA Today poll top 10, but I was looking ahead. They have New Mexico next and all they need to do is keep winning.

7. USC
Hammered Oregon after a shaky start but they will be back in the picture sooner than you think. They have AZ St at home next and should put the hammer down on them as well.

8. Penn St
Like Alabama and BYU a ho hum kind of win over Purdue. I am not totally sold on Penn St but we get to see them at Wisconsin next.

9. Georgia
No need to drop them to #10. They had a bye week and play host to TN this week. If both teams show what they have so far this year. GA in a romp.

10. Texas Tech
Another pounding delivered and they should do more of the same against Nebraska this week. We find out how good this team really is starting October 25th. These games to date are warm ups.

Nothing overly exciting happened this week in NCAA action. I went 4-0 on my plays so hopefully you visited the Gambling with Freak area. I continue to beat the numbers each week.

How about the services.... Army a 20 pt dog wins SU by 31, Navy continues to win beating Air Force. Eastern Michigan one of the worst teams in I-A a 21 pt dog wins SU on the road at Bowling Green.

Here's how bad the ACC is... you remember all the hype about Clemson... they lost at home to Maryland last week. Also last week Duke beat VA as a 7.5 favorite. How about Maryland this week a 14 point favorite at VA. VA wins 31-0.

Let's not forget Fresno St, you remember them the BCS buster team until they lost at home to Wisconsin who lost to Michigan who lost to Illinois. Well Hawaii lost last week at home to San Jose St, you got it Hawaii goes and wins at Fresno St.

It just goes to show you what the 85 player scholarships has done to NCAA football.
