Freak,
I can understand why you made the change with access to the SP area in an attempt to get more participation with posting and it was something that you probably thought about for at least a couple years or more and I can support it. With a smaller site, we could use all the posts we can get everyday.

In my own play, I might use SP info/selections only if I know the capper is often good or real hot at the time which is not usually the case with most of the "big names". When I first started posting SP's, I limited it to the ones, often little known cappers, who I thought stood a good shot at winning that night but now I pretty much post all the well known cappers and, sometimes, most anything that I find.

The real fun and challenge for me is to try and achieve and keep a good won/loss ROI record in the different area's on the site.

Russ,

Thanks for the feedback/comments. I can say without a doubt that we as posters can outcap any pay handicapper out there. Just look in the Wager tracker area, we are kicking ass, but it is overlooked since it's not service plays. I wonder what would happen if I changed it to say Member Service Plays. LOL

One thing that they as a group are better at than probably any of us is at evading the truth as far as won/loss record of their plays and at marketing their service.

Member Service Plays sounds good.

I think that new members should have access to service plays at first. If they don't contribute for a week or two they can then be restricted. I like to look at the service plays to compare to my picks. When they all like the backside, I know I have a good bet.

The problem with service plays is that these guys have to pick games daily and its tough to win daily or even weekly.
The advantage that players have is that we don't have to play everyday, but the books have to put up the numbers.
I make my picks everyday but I don't play when I'm going bad or getting bad breaks. One thing is for sure though, I'll never follow a service just because they are hot. I have to like the game before looking at them. Remember that these guys are all tied to the books. If they were any good they'd just bet them themselves and wouldn't need the players' money.

It's funny you say that Ramins, I went back and looked at the recent sign ups based on my 100 member drive, and I gave access to those that have been posting. Out of all the new members there was only 2 people to get access.

The old adage of wanting something for free is still prevalent when it comes to SP. Pretty fn sad if you ask me.
