5-1 (+8.na -135 vs cubs (3 units).......one word...Capuano. this guy can pitch, while cubs starter maddux just average at best, at least on the road this year. cubs are their usual underachieving selves, time for baker to get fired, it should happen soon. not much of an explanation needed for this one.
mets -175 vs pittsburgh (2 units)............another game that requires no explanation. the road challenged pirates vs the mets. enough said. enjoy the free cash.
white sox -210 vs baltimore (2 units)..........very similar to the above game. great home team vs poor road team. sox need to keep pace with tigers and won't lose games like this if they want to.
cleveland -102 vs yankees (1 unit)..........randy johnson just does not scare anybody anymore. cleveland will not him out by the fifth inning today and outscore the yankees.
cincinnati +175 vs atlanta (1 unit)............the braves are playing better ball right now, that is for sure, but this is still a down year for them. braves have a losing record at home while the reds have a winning record on the road, so this is worth a shot at this price. reds have plenty of incentive as they are fighting for not only the wild card, but division still could be won if the cards continue to struggle. only reason the line is so big is hudson pitching for the braves, but he is 0-3 his last three starts and can certainly be hit by a reds team with some offense.
