Time to play the Game
Could you imagine New Jersey as the # 1 seed in the east. Who would have thunk it at the start of the season.
The interesting matchup right now if the season was over is the 4 vs 5 in the west... Spurs vs Blazers.... what a first round matchup indeed.
Lakers a 3 seed... hmmm...
How about the 3 vs 6 in the east... Boston and Philly....
Just like the NHL, last years hot teams are not the top seeds, a lot of surprises this year. Is it a watered down version or has the landscape changed.
Guess we shall see.....
I still say Lakers to take it all.....

Revisting 3 weeks later we find:
East
New Jersey vs Toronto 1 vs 8
Detroit vs Milwaukee 2 vs 7
Boston vs Philly 3 vs 6
Orlando vs Charlotte 4 vs 5
Indiana has same record as Toronto, but right now tie breakers favor them.na... they know how to win in playoff time, and after last year, I think they are laying in the weeds here.
West
Sacramento vs Utah 1 vs 8
Dallas vs Seattle 2 vs 7
LA vs Portland 3 vs 6
San Antonio vs Minnesota 4 vs 5
To me this Western Conference is a crap shoot. Sure the Lakers will be heavily favored, but Portland will be no slouch, then more than likely Dallas they either San Antonio or Sacramento.
The winner of the West will have a big advantage over any Eastern club. The only thing I would be considered about is the grind they will put themselves into. I like the Lakers to come out of the West. Until someone can beat them in LA you can forget it.

with the raptors now being able to realistically finish 8th or 7th, who would they rather play, Jersey or Detroit?
I'm undecided about this.....Jersey seems like the more talented team but Detroit has been the better 2nd half team
what do you think?
