Hard to go against #9 Mr John in the second, the bad thing is, it's the favorite again. It will be interesting to see how the track plays this race.
The opener ran in 108 and 3, that's a fast start.
So go with the 9 the usual wager...

Mr John came in and paid $5 and $3.60
So 2 for 2 for the day +84
2-2-0-0
The only bad thing is that they were chalks with no real price. I am not a big chalk backer, but today is one of those days, where you have the better horses running. Now in the 2nd race, Mr John was 8/5 on the ML, and of course it got bet, however it only dropped a tick to 3/2 so there was still value.
So far in 2 races, a front running stalking effort has resulted in 2 wins. Granted at 6 and 6' F, but still that is an early sign.
The races you can watch live on ESPN 2
Back with race 3 in moments....

Race 3 is a mile and 16th, adn this will help clear up how the track will play long.
There is 2 entries in this race, and neither has any appeal to me. As far as I am concerned it is a 2 horse race between Out of the Box who is the ML fav at 1-1 and the horse I am taking Neon Shadow.
I think Neon will improve off his last race and is in fit form. The other reason is the layoff for Out of the Box, 5 months is a while, and perhaps this race will be a prep for a race down the road.
However it is the class, and isn't ML 1-1 for no reason.
Still I will go with Neon Shadow for our same wager amount 20/20
Good Luck

Well Neon Shadow ended up going off as the favorite, I was rather surprised at that, but you never know who the public will bet.
The betting volume is picking up rather quick, that last race there was over 900k in the exacta pool, and the win pool had over 600k. Think about it, we aren't talking stake or graded races here, but allowance races. You just have to love that kind of action.
I have been waiting for this day for quite some time as I love the horses. Speaking of horses, I know some are following along, so I will throw out a plug to SportingbetUSA, if you deposit $50-$99 today you get a $25 bonus, $100-$349 a $50 bonus and anything $350 and up 15%...
To me tossing in $100 to get free $50 is worth it. Now the only drawback is this, and I will tell it like it is, the only race you can bet on is the Derby, and you have to call it in. A little out of the way, but hey for free $50 it is worth the time. Use the link at the top of the forum, and please tell em that your from the forum.
So back to the races....
3 3-0-0 +128 Not bad for 3 favs and using a mythical bet of 20/20

Ok on to race 4, there is big gaps between races now, so keep awake !!
In the 4th, I like the 3 Dream Run. Pat day is aboard, who won the first race. Dream Run should sit off the pace, and come pouncing down the lane.
There is a lot of speed in this race, and that is a concern do to the way the track is playing.
However I will go with Dream Run and hope the streak continues.
Good Luck all !!!!

A double faux pax that race.na. There is no way the horse was going to be passed with 2 strides to go. Terrible call.
The next race is about 24 minutes away.
Right now +88 4-3-0-0
Looking to bounce back in a tough race with a big field.

Ok this race I like a bomber and will reduce the bet stakes to 10/10. You won't need to bet your full bet to cash in big if this hits.
I am going with the Skip Awaybred horse. Heart of a Champion. This horse is unraced, and is entered in a stakes race against several winners.
In a 5 furlong race, you need speed, the workouts for this horse is well, unexplainable.
If it runs anything like it's works, this will be a runaway.
You must respect Posse and Jet Love in this race.
Jet Love is a major overlay at current odds of 12-1 worth a look.....
Good Luck

Well a trend has been formed, either I pick the winner or the last place finisher....
5 3-0-0 +68
Still in the positive.
Race 6 is on the turf, a wide open affair. I am going with the entry and the better 1/2 is Dianehill. The horse likes the turf, and although stretching out today, should get the distance no problem.
I am not banking on the other 1/2 of the entry to do anything, and if it does, it will be a added bonus.
Back to normal bet 20/20 here
Good Luck !!!!! Races are on ESPN from ESPN2 now as well.

Race 6 ran third lost place by a hair......
6-3-0-1 +28
Race 7 is wide open again and should pay well.
Going with Gold Mover here, should be stalking the pace or right on the lead.
Like the rider Velazquez, and the trainer angle is underlooked.
Big threat to win !!!!

DQ took down our winner and he was placed second. I can't blame JV there, it was a tight squeeze and why 2 horses were there is rather odd considering the rail.
Well it paid 4.60 to place and that generated a small profit nonethess.
7-3-1-1 +34
We are 2 races away from the derby, and still have a profit going into the race. The next race will hopefully give us a cushion.
In race 8 going with a long shot...... White Heart, it won this race last year, and has the style and class to do it again. Gary Stevens aboard and Drysdale training. Solid combo....
Will get a good price in this race....
