They should score alot of runs this year with a healthy lineup. Biggio is back and should like the short left field. Ausmus give them some more speed.
Biggio
Ausmus
Bagwell
Alou
Hidalgo
Berkman
Truby
Lugo
Pitching is suspect. Lima needs to have a good year and hopefully Bottenfield can contribute. Elarton and Reynolds are the Aces. The bullpen will be stronger with Wagner back and Jackson as the setup man. If Jackson can't go they have Dotel. He throws bb's and may be a starter if needed. They will have to make some moves during the year and pick up another starter. If they can win 60% at home they should be in the race again. McKnight and Miller may be a pleasant surprise on the pitching staff.

I lost a lot of money on them last year. they better do something about the pitching. Lima blows.

Reynolds out for first month of season with torn lateral meniscus in left knee. Injury bug hitting Astros again.

The Astros were expected to do big things last year.na.
I remember it perfectly I was at work that night and counted that game in the books when it went to bottom of 9th. talk about a bad beat. ![[Linked Image from freaksforum.com]](https://freaksforum.com/images/icons/frown.gif)
This years team I project 3rd in the division possibly 4th.
Time will tell.

I wouldn't count on Lima or Bottenfield. One positive sign was they played better in the second half but I agree with Freak, 3rd at best. I like the Red's chances better.

Here is some info on total runs scored at Astros' home games in 2000. The numbers: using a total of 10 runs as a barometer; there were 51 games over, 25 under and 4 even. So 63.75% of Astros home games went over 10 total runs. Something to think about????

Lima stunk up the field again tonight. That should do it for him. Bottenfield will probably take over in the rotation.

Astacio and Williams were good pickups for them. Their bullpen is solid and lineup is potent. Should catch the cubs by Sept....
