Do you guys like the different types of contest recently, rather than the normal ho hum types?

Also, why do you think people will take part in contests all the time, but not post every day elsewhere ??

What can I do to change that?

i like the different contests. i prefer monthly contests over ones that last the season. you always get more posters with contests. maybe you should do what some others places do where you are required to make like 20 non-contest posts for a monthly contests. that would not be a problem for me as i usually post my baseball plays most everyday. i know my pod, consensus and dog of the day posts have been down do to personal things and lack of time and i am just now getting back into the swing of things.

maybe a weekly baseball contest with a prize of only $50, might get more peoples attention and keep them coming back every week.

Freak to increase posts in other forums on the board we need to have a number of posts based forum. By that I mean, after a person reaches 500 posts they are eligible for contests that pay larger sums of $$. So you see the more you post (quality posts only please) the closer you get to becoming eligible for the veteran contests.

I hate to go that route, but I think your right. I bust my hump to get the contests and I am tending to agree with you all the way.

Would like some thoughts on a POD contest..... how to do it and how to pay it.

would love to see a pod contest, but there needs to be limits.

no fav over 200
no dog over 200

no weird prop bets or halftime bets. keep it simple, especially for the scorekeeper. don't like the ones where everybody who is almost out of it takes the +350 dogs trying to get back into it.

maybe two prizes to keep interest for those who are out of the running for first. $100 and $50

just my opinion.....

POD CONTEST would be a great way to build interest as it seems to work for other sites.


As for more posting.

Not sure how many others are having to LOG IN every time we come to the site AND every new post we make but I know that quite often after a couple of posts I just get frustated and leave instead.

If there are many others having this problem the solution might help your traffic.

I am having extreme difficulty in getting a solution to the problem. It is very frustrating and really pissing me off......

I am looking for help, however noone is either willing, or has any ideas...

I have to agree that the always having to login not only on ever visit but everytime you want to post a reply or new topic keeps me from posting more. Keep up the great work

I fully understand the frustration by the posters, I am going through the same thing. It isn't my cup of tea to have this going on.

The bad thing is noone has any idea what is causing it.

How about a contest to see who can make the most posts? Bonus points for each seperate topic that you post to.

How would you track it, and if you think about it, how valuable would the posts be?

I am not into this pay to post bribe crap. Sites pull that nonsense to make it look like they are busy and have lots of traffic. Point is, I would prefer posts that have meaning, offer interest, and that people want to post because they like it here, rather than do it because they are going to get paid.

Maybe it's just me because I own the place, but I think there is a lot of topics, and bright cappers here that can generate conversation quite easily if they so choose to.

With football coming up, and the contests sitting there, it should be a busy time in the next few months.

Thank you for your suggestion, I just don't find it feasible at this time. One other thing is I have given away free money in the form of bets at different sportsbooks. This has come out of my pocket. I am offering a nice deal now with SBUSA, it takes but 10 people to post up $25 to take me on and for me to give away more of my own money....

So far no takers... that will change I am sure
