Today's featured match up is #2 TB at home vs Washington. We have 5 of top 6 going today with Chicago, Tampa, San Jose, Columbus, and Pittsburgh.

#6 Pittsburgh will kick us off early but the trend plays to the under so it's your call. I am leaning to the under at +140 or pass.

I believe my play for today would be WA/TB over with NAS/SJ over in a parlay. Going to ride SJ on the hot side as well at only -160 but will shop for a better number as sportsbook typically has higher odds. I use them as the odds source because it's quick to access and a lot use them. I prefer other books.

We have #5 New Jersey going today but they also appear on the Cold 5 list. We also have #6 Pittsburgh who is 5-5 their last 10 but face the #1 Hot team in Philadelphia which has been on fire.

Currently 18 of 31 teams are 6-4 or better their last 10 to the over. That's a rate of 58% and the lower ranked teams lead the way. Can we call this a bit of regression or moving more to the mean?

In any event the league is playing towards the over.

5-2 yesterday

Currently 19 of 31 teams are at least 6-4 or better in their last 10 over 1.5 in the first period. 4 of 31 are at 5-5 and only 7 of 31 are at 4-6 or worse.

Not saying betting overs in the first period are automatic but just look at the hot 5 list alone. 11 teams at 7-3 or better and to look at the cold list there are your 7 teams in the league that are at 4-6 or worse.

Today's menu provides the top 3 teams in action to the over and the second to last team in Vancouver is even 6-4.

Forgot to put the odds in the spread sheet but they are as follows:

TB -185
Chicago -210
LA -120
San Jose -210

We have #5 Devils vs #7 Capitals tonight as the main event. Also #4 Columbus and #6 Pittsburgh in action. Both sides have been more to the under lately and there's huge value in taking Columbus/Calgary under tonight.

While the league is clearly playing to the over, a few match ups popped up recommending the under tonight.

#31 Dallas the under king is even 5-5 the last 10 over.

Season is winding down and then the playoffs begin.

Battle of top 7 is the marquee match up today. If playing the over do it early as the line will move upwards during the day.

Around 10 games or so left for each club for the regular season.

March Madness will grab all the headlines during this time frame.
