Kings...I think they can knock off the Avs. Remember last years series? Roy is awesome in net, but I seriously cannot wait for this matchup to start.
Vancouver...can they put it to Detroit before they get into playoff form? We'll see if Scotty's strategy the last month or so pays off or backfires. I rested and healthy Wings team cannot be beat. Damn, Detroit kicks ass, if they are going to get knocked off its going to be in this first round by the Canucks, otherwise...its all the way baby!

I agree with you SeaVike. L.A can give Colorado a run this year. LA is better than last year's team and if they can get to Roy early and often LA will pull of the upset. LA in 7
Is Detroit getting too old? Both teams enter the playoffs in different directions. Detroit on a losing streak and Vancouver playing some of their best hockey in years.
Vancouver in 7.
My choice to go to the Stanley cup final San Jose.
I like their scoring offence, defence is stable and very good and Nabakov between the pipes is a winning combination. San Jose in 5
Chicago/St.Louis matchup is a tossup. Chicago's record at home is great however their road record is bad. This is where I give St.Louis the edge.
St.Louis in 7.

Vancouver got the upper hand tonight. To think this team was a 1' goal underdog. A friend of mine told me to bet the ranch, it was as sure as stealing. I stayed away, but he is happier than a lark.
I think LA will push Colorado to the limit, but the AVS get it done with their experience.
Phoenix has good chance to beat SJ it will all depend on their goal tending.....
Time will tell, hard for me to be excited the Stars aren't in the plyoffs for first time in a long long time...

You a big Stars fan Freak? Belfour just wasn't himself this year...think Turco is the man next year?
That Vancouver game was awesome...stole one in HockeyTown! I took the +1.5 as I didn't have the balls...a win is a win though!
That Kings/Avs series is going to be awesome...I'm already waiting for that Game 7! haha

Love the Stars..... Turco may be the man, but wouldn't be surprised if they try to obtain another goalie instead.
Sharks looking good now, wings rebounded, and it appears they are on a roll now.
Look for them to close out vancouver in 6.
Very interesting round 1 indeed

Sharks took advantage of a worn out Avs team last night...a team that had a bit of a let down after that great series with the Kings. We'll see how the rest of the series plays out...can they take two in Colorado? I think the Avs bounce back on Saturday after a bit of rest and regaining their focus.
Tonight...Blues at Wings. Now that the Wings have escaped that rough 1st round start I see them cruising. They are rested, focused and looking sharp. I'll be surprised if the Blues get 2 in this series.
SeaVike
