Thanks for the comments Steve.<p>I have never been a big proponet of bribing someone to do something. To me offering money to post, or a non sports contest giveaway by posting is in effect a bribe.<p>I think having the contests that cost nothing, is the carrot. It is frustrating to see 30-40 people in a contest every week, but 3/4 of them are nowhere to be found during the week, and don't even post on contest days. It has made me think, I need to change the structure of the way contests are held in the future. Perhaps you will need a certain amount of posts to enter, I don't want to do that, as I feel it hurts new people, then again..... I think you get the thought process...<p>This forum was built on providing normal everyday people a chance to come talk sports and hopefully make some money with the help of others. I treat everyone like family, not a number and really all I ask is that people take part. I don't ask for 20 posts a day or anything absurd like that. Just to keep the topics fresh and keep the forum moving. <p>I don't allow the spam mularkey here, I don't believe people need subjected to it. That is the kind of help I am looking for. It is obvious I can't be here 24/7, although it seems I am. I am looking for someone that can help me monitor the forum for spam junk and to get rid of it when posted. <p>I also sometimes need help with keeping track with contests, I try to keep them updated as quick as possible, but let's face it, I don't have contest software that tracks it. It is all done by hand and kept track of on excel. That's why you see me going to a alphabetical listing rather than the order they are in standing wise.<p>Let's face it, I try to do things noone else does...<p>If anyone does POD, they got it from here.<p>Noone I know of does a consesnus...<p>Noone I know of does a dog pound....<p>Noone on a major forum level posts service plays every week with no strings attached....<p>Yeah others did Funbets and got conned in like I did, but while it was here, and free, it was worth it. I couldnt see telling people well if you want to use funbets it costs $99 for you to use it. I certainly wouldn't pay for it, so why subject you guys to that.<p>Noone does the BAD MAN contest, ok it's a direct replica of the Hilton Super Contest, but forum wise noone has done it 2 straight years.<p>So how does one show support to the forum?<p>Post away, don't wait for me to start topics. Use the sponsors of contests via the forum. It keeps contests coming. <p>We lost one contest this week, the totals contest, due to no post ups. Yes we had people register, but as far as their record show noone posted up. The goal of the sportsbook is to gain new business, if they don't get it, they are throwing away money for no benefit to them.<p>The sportsbook have a derogatory name for such people... let's leave it as that.<p>I will continue to do all I can to offer something noone else has. To be supportive of the loyal forum members, and to keep the doors open.<p>After all we do have a base, and I know those folks love the forum for what it is intended to be used for. I thank them for that. I thank all new people that sign up and make an impact, the forum needs that. <p>Not the response I planned on, but it allowed my to touch upon a few things on a different level.<p>Hope it made sense, and keep the comments coming, good or bad.
