ok, now that i got your attention, sorry to trick you, but i know even if you don't reply to this thread that you have at least read it because you think you were getting a free contest.<p>how comes i am for the most part the only person making picks in the baseball thread? we have alot of people playing the baseball underdog contest, so i know you are out there.<p>if we don't get some action going on in this forum, freak will not be able to get sponsers for free contests. there are some forum members here at freaks (you know who you are) that post picks in other forums and not here. why is that?<p>this is a small, but great forum. i post at other forums myself, but there are very few that i feel recognized at. this is one of them. <p>i know everybody is thinking with football things will pick up, and it will, but lets pick things up now and maybe we can get even more contests once football starts. i would not be shocked if someday freak just shuts this place down due to lack of non-contest posting. lets not let that happen.<p>it is ok to belong to other forums, i do myself, but lets not forget about this great little unique forum here at freaks.

Jillmark,<p>Appreciate the post, and the compliments. The reason I didn't reply earlier, was two fold. Mainly I wanted to see if anyone would reply, and nary a soul did.<p>Secondly I did a whirlwind tour of other forums to see what was going on there, that wasn't here. <p>My findings were rather unusual. All forums visited were dead, and the people that were talking, were the same ones to themselves. <p>What surprised me though, is that I came across a few forums, where I found many posters that are members of this forum. I found those same people posting picks in baseball threads and had many games picked over the whole season. These same people would engage in almost the same kind of topics that take place here. <p>Note I am not naming names, it wasn't a witchhunt, however the results were mixed. I was glad to see other forums dead to a great extent, but disappointed in seeing other things.<p>Not sure what I don't have to offer that other places do, nowhere else can you find BAD MAN, POD, Consensus, Dog of the Day, and the unusual contests that make you handicap and not post favorites night after night.<p>I know it's the summer time and that people will be out during football season, so who knows. <p>All I know, is that I appreciate the kind words, and the showing of appreciation. It goes a long way.....<p>Have fun all, and in closing I am going to kick your asses in Bad Man 2002, and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. <p>

I could see if you were defending your title or something freak, but come on, I do beleive there is alot of things I will do about it.......LOL<p>PS: 21-4 in bases last 25 days, just vorm'n up.<p>Great site by the way......<p>Best of luck to ya.
