Here's my thoughts on this PPV....
Pre show had Santino defeat The Miz. I like the Miz and can't understand what the plans are for him. After headlining WM last year he hasn't been very active. He did get the pin for Team Johnny in this years WM but even then he has been nowhere to be found.
Opening match with Kane/Orton was back and forth and a continuation of their feud which now stands 1-1 on PPV's will this continue? More than likely as nothing came out of this with any new scenarios.
Brodius Clay is already old in my book. Same moves, same everything. Why they continue to use Dolph and Swagger as sacrificial lambs to him is beyond me. Dolph is a great wrestler and Swagger is a former champion. Not sure where this is going but to be honest, it's HORRIBLE.
Rhodes and Big Show, the title should've never left Cody. Not sure if this continues but it serves no purpose for Big Show to chase Cody for the title. No idea where this goes from here.
Bryan/Sheamus was a good match, they did some nice work together. It was funny hearing the crowd boo Sheamus as he entered. I can see this continuing and it would make sense for it to.
The Ryback squash of two nobodies on a PPV was just a total waste of time. Funny to hear the crowd cheering Goldberg, Goldberg during the match. Skip Sheffield now ole Ryback. Too funny or should I say Goldberg.
Jericho and Punk put on the match of the night by far and I would love to see these two continue but Jericho needs to pick up a win here and take the title to Summer Slam. It makes no sense to have Jericho come back and not be champ.
The Diva's championship as expected was lost by the Bellas. They are leaving the company unless they change their mind and resign tomorrow I believe. Layla as champ isn't so bad but who does she feud with?
Lesnar/Cena. No offense but you bring back Brock and have him lose in the first PPV to Cena? In a UFC fight it would've been called right away. I am sure there will be a rematch or something down the road. Appears Cena may be legitimately hurt and we'll know more on Monday.
I guess you can still win if you get 5 seconds of offense in after getting your ass totally handed to you from start to finish. Hell ask Memphis they were the Lesnar to the Clippers Cena tonight.
All in all a good PPV and a nice one following up WM. The WWE is in a bad spot right now, ratings are down, the stock has pushed it's 52 week low lower this month and not a whole lot of good has taken place from a spark of interest.
The Rock, Lesnar, who's next to bring back.... Stone Cold?
We shall see.
