Well we have reached the final full card of the NCAA Football season and I must admit Saturday had to be the most boring day of the entire season to watch games. The blowouts were all over the place and I actually stopped watching quite early in the day.

That is unusual for me but let's face it, with no action, games are 21+ point blowouts, what is the point to watch. The 330 Eastern games were all like that and sorry I couldn't stomach to watch East Carolina vs Marshall.

I think the excitement of the whole weekend was dampened by LSU smashing Arkansas on Friday. That game was great when it was 14-0 Arkansas but after that, Arkansas disappeared as if they forgot how to tackle, cover in the secondary and couldn't protect the QB. Rather poor finish to what was a good season for them.

We all knew Alabama was going to spank Auburn, Oregon wouldn't lose to Oregon State, Oklahoma would beat Iowa St. and Wisconsin would beat Penn St.

So there really wasn't any true suspense and there wasn't in any of the above mentioned games.

So we know LSU plays Georgia in the SEC title game and that it will be one last chance to cause extreme chaos.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma St settle the Big 12

Michigan St and Wisconsin the Big 10

Virginia Tech plays Clemson in the ACC

The Big East who cares really but it will be Louisville, West Virginia or Cincinnati it appears.

PAC 12 Oregon in a massacre over UCLA.

Speaking of the PAC 12, UCLA backs their way in off a 50-0 loss to USC. Arizona St lost to Cal and Utah who had it for the taking lost at home as a 22.5 favorite to Colorado 17-14. With all these results UCLA becomes the sacrificial lamb to Oregon. Last week I said Oregon would be favored by at least 21 over UCLA. I am going to increase that total to 28 and even that may not be right. It won't matter Oregon will smash UCLA.

Colorado qualifies as a super dog of the week in that win as a 22.5 underdog spot.

Boston College as a 14.5 pt underdog won at Miami 24-17.

Minnesota +10 wins at home over Illinois 27-7. Illinois goes from 6-0 to 6-6. Anyone think they deserve a bowl game? Not here but I am sure they will be in some Pizzeria or Spaghetti Bowl somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Just want to say how the DIV I-AA Playoffs are underway and they expanded from 16 to 20 teams. Hmmm if only.............

Here's the top 10.....

1. LSU..... Destroyed Arkansas and has Georgia up next. Can the Bulldogs do something no other team has done this year? LSU should be at least 2 TD favorites.

2. Alabama.....Spanked Auburn and just sits and waits for the official announcement that they are in the BCS title game vs LSU, Stanford or Va Tech....

3. Stanford..... Up a spot after beating Notre Dame. They are in a good spot except for the computers. They need an Oklahoma win and LSU loss to get into the championship game.

4. VA Tech..... Up a spot after whipping VA to get into the ACC title game vs a reeling Clemson club. Payback is in order here as VA Tech lost to Clemson at home 23-3 as a 7 point favorite back in October. They will run it up for style points.

5. Boise St..... Up a spot after an uninspiring win at home vs Wyoming. There wasn't a need to run it up, their title hopes are non existent. Only question is will they get into a BCS bowl as an at large. I would still take them over undefeated Houston.

6. Oklahoma St...... Up a spot with the bye week. Oklahoma is next. I have been waiting for this game for many weeks. I have stated Oklahoma will beat Oklahoma St for weeks. It's time for it to happen.

7. Arkansas..... Drops from #3 after the dismantling by LSU. They will likely drop a lot further in the other polls but there's no shame in losing 2 games to Alabama and LSU which are the best 2 teams in the land.

8. Michigan St..... No change from last week. They beat Northwestern and have a rematch with Wisconsin for the Big 10 title and a berth in the Rose Bowl.

9. Oregon...... They trounced Oregon St and they will trounce UCLA next and they will likely go to the Rose Bowl as well.

10. Houston..... They beat Tulsa to move forward to the CUSA title game. They will go undefeated and the question will be are they BCS worthy? I stack them up against the top 9 and some others outside of the top 10 and I can't see them winning against any of these teams on a neutral field. Tough call, they are in and Boise out or vice versa. It would be a surprise to see them both but..........

Until next week....... enjoy

It's clear based on the rankings that even if LSU would lose to Georgia they would stay in the title game vs Alabama. It doesn't matter what happens in any of the games left for the regular season, it's LSU vs Alabama in a #1 vs #2 rematch for the title.

With 4 at large bids for the BCS we can narrow down the field for those slots to:

Alabama, Stanford and Houston for certain. The fourth spot which seems to be such a popular selection is Michigan.

But what happens if Oklahoma beats Oklahoma St? OK St wouldn't fall far in the polls. There's a lot of reasons to root for Oklahoma this week and this is just one of them. Michigan in no way shape or form belongs in a BCS bowl game. Let's face it those non conference games vs Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and San Diego St are all top notch. Cough Cough....What about that loss to ummm Iowa...

It's bad enough we will have a multiple loss champion out of the Big Least, now you want to toss in a 2 loss Michigan who's signature win was vs at that time #17 Nebraska at home. Ho hum... spare me the hype BSPN.

If Michigan St loses to Wisconsin, wouldn't they deserve it more than Michigan as well? After all they made it to their leagues title game and they soundly beat Michigan.........

I'd rather see Boise St play Houston.

Michigan doesn't deserve to be in a BCS bowl game period and it will be a total sham if they do get in.

Just think of these playoff match ups.......

#1 LSU vs #16 Michigan
#2 Alabama vs #15 Wisconsin
#3 Oklahoma St vs #14 Georgia
#4 Stanford vs #13 Michigan St
#5 VA Tech vs #12 South Carolina
#6 Houston vs #11 Kansas St
#7 Boise St vs #10 Oklahoma
#8 Arkansas vs #9 Oregon

They easily could play opening round games at the highest ranked team and use them them as the lower level bowl games.

Then could take the next 7 bowl games as BCS Bowl Games by simply adding the Cotton Bowl into the BCS bowl game mix which would ultimately culminate in the National Title Game.

Of course this would all be fouled up by the Rose Bowl because they must stick with tradition. Well that's simple, either conform or your out. I am sure another bowl game would jump at the shot to take the Rose's place.

Of course non of this will ever happen because it's too easy a solution and the fn greed in college football is beyond control.

Actually I messed up......

If GA beats LSU then 1 of those two teams WON'T be in the title game or a BCS Bowl. Since the BCS has a max of 2 per conference, GA would automatically qualify since it would win the conference title for the SEC.

I am praying, begging, willing this in. I won't total fn chaos for the BCS to get rid of this horrible system.

This might topple the hell out of it. Could you imagine the uproar it would cause !!!!
