Time to play the Game
Week 9 has come and gone and there is a lot to write about, get your beer, coffee, coca cola or water and get ready for a read of a read.na they win by 4
65% on Syracuse +3 they lose to Louisville by 17
62% on Maryland -6 to -8 against 1 win BC and lose SU
78% on Arkansas -8 to 10 against Vandy and win by 3
67% on Bowling Green -3 and lose SU to Kent St
69% on SMU + 1.5 to 2 and they lose by 31
62% on TX A&M favored by 10 and they lose SU at home
68% on Hawaii -7 and they win by 2
63% on Oregon St +5 to 6 and they lose by 19
61% on CAL -4 to -5 and they lose by 17 to UCLA
79% on Oregon favored by 37.5 they beat WA St by only 15
64% on KST +13 to 14 at home and get beat 58-17
74% on Wisconsin -7 and loses SU to Ohio St
75% on San Diego St -19 and loses SU at home to Wyoming.. who?

2. For the third week in a row, I am going to state again, teams just can't show up and expect to win. Teams aren't going to just bow down because you have a national ranking or in the title hunt. Again Arkansas for the second week in a row has slept walked their ways against way inferior opponents. Sooner or later that isn't going to work and the sister of the poor will rise up. I mean look above at all the double digit favorites that lost at home against the sisters of the poor.

3. This leads into the next topic. Michigan State beats Ohio St. Nebraska beats Ohio State, Wisconsin smashes Nebraska, Michigan State beats Wisconsin Nebraska beats Michigan State. Ohio State beats Wisconsin. What does this tell us? That the Big 10 has a lot of parody for sure. What happened to the Wisconsin team that was going to run the table and perhaps play in the title game. I guess those cupcakes they scored 70+ points on weighed them down because when they played real competition they ummm choked on those cupcakes.....

Let's stick in the Big 10 for a few. How about Minnesota a 15 point home underdog to Iowa winning 22-21. Amazing stat is that Minnesota came back after being down 21-10 in the 4th and Minnesota had the ball for almost 13 1/2 minutes in the 4th.

Where was Michigan St on Saturday? pick me, pick me... I digress... they were left behind in East Lansing... People will say, they beat Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin in 3 straight weeks. Ok and your point is? These are 18-23 year old kids. The whole team disappeared? They couldn't stop 3rd and long plays. Cousins must have been tired after hearing how great he is rather was all week and Nebraska wanted it more.

Congrats to Joe Pa win #409. Penn State is the absolute worst 8-1 team and what happens when they play Nebraska in 2 weeks? They have next week off but outside of beating Indiana St and Eastern Michigan by 34 and 28 they have won by 4,6,10,5,10 and 3. I hope Nebraska goes into Happy Valley and whips em by 40. I seriously despise Penn St and I know a lot of you are from that part of the country, but... seriously how confident are you? They have beat their weak brothers in conference by the slimmest of margins. Trust me noone wants to see Penn St in a BCS game. Well hey maybe they could play Rutgers in the Rose Bowl. That would be a great BCS snooze fest. More on this later.

Wow that was a lot just about the Big 10 and I am just getting warmed up.

4. How do you win as a 29 point underdog at Oklahoma then go home as a 16 point favorite over Iowa St and lose at home 41-7. Iowa St??? Seriously. I think Texas Tech's team must have had the Michigan St flu and left their team in Norman.

Let's stick to the Big 12 or whatever amount of teams it is now. Texas A&M you are favored by 10 at home over Missouri. You lead by 11 in the 4th quarter with 11 minutes to go and you lose in OT??? Nice suck job there.

Kansas St the slipper fell off and got misplaced never to be found again. I mean seriously how good does those wins over Miami Fl, Baylor, Texas Tech and Kansas look like. I mean seriously how screwed up are things when Miami beats GA Tech then loses at home to Virginia? We know how overrated Baylor was, we know how over rated Texas Tech became in a week and you led 17-14 in the second quarter and lost 58-17. Outscored 44-0 wow what an ass beating. This whole game changed right before the end of the first half. OK was up 20-17 at that point. KST trying to run out the clock, doesn't know the kneel down play and runs a real play, fumbles and OK gets a free 3 at the gun. At that point it was only 23-17 but it was over.

Whoever the analyst was last week that predicted that KST would go 2-2 in their next 4 games, I laughed at and said 0-4. There's 1 of the 4 and the next ass beating comes courtesy of Oklahoma St. Any wagers on the amount of points OK St scores? 60, 70? Last year they won 24-14. But this year it's going to be 70-7 or something really damn close to it. KST better pray for a snow storm and high winds. They are going to get their ass kicked again next week. Hell they end up going 7-6 after losing in some minor who cares bowl game.

4. On to the ACC... Clemson, my goodness what the hell. GA Tech barely beats MD at home 21-16 then loses back to back weeks to VA and Miami and then comes home and beats you like a fn mule. You guys forgot how to tackle giving up 383 yards rushing, I think Stewman21 and ParlayPaulie could have racked up 100 yards each. I guess 2 fumbles and 2 interceptions didn't help either but hey you have next week off and I am sure practice will be the hell you deserve. This is one of those games I marked down a few weeks ago would be a test and last week scratched it off as for how bad GT was playing. What a week makes. A BCS bowl is still within reach just don't lose to Wake Forest and you'll see VTECH or maybe GT again.

5. Pac 12, 16 whatever it is now, a gutty performance by USC against Stanford. Nothing else to really write about here. The only game of importance unless some super major upset takes place will be at Stanford November 12th and of course the title game vs AZ ST. Of which Stanford/OR will win.

This weeks underdogs of the week goes to Iowa St a 16 point underdog who went into Lubbock and smashed the piss out of those whimpy ass Red Raiders 41-7.

How about Wyoming a 19 point underdog going to SD St and winning 30-27. How bad will TCU beat Wyoming next week? Might be the case of the Spartan Flu in Laramie next Saturday.

Ok enough is enough of this, let's get to the top 10 or really the top 5 because I think outside of the top 5 it's anyone's guess.

1. Alabama..... Finally the awaited match up takes place that we've all been waiting for. Prime time 8PM CBS be there. It should be a good one. I am going on record and siding with the Tide over LSU.

2. LSU..... See Alabama above.

3. Stanford..... A gritty win on the road at rival USC. At Oregon St next week before the awaited match up against Oregon. Hopefully another prime time match up.

4. Oklahoma St..... I move them ahead of an idle Boise St. They throttled Baylor and have my attention now. They have K ST next and as I said earlier, they will deliver an ass beating. It will be an ugly final score. They don't get tested until the season elimination game vs Oklahoma.

5. Boise St..... They had the week off and have a scrimmage against UNLV before their only challenge left TCU on 11/12.

6. Oregon..... A ho hum game against WA St and they are at Washington before their elimination game against Stanford on 11/12.

7. Arkansas..... Another dull effort this week and they have South Carolina at home next. They are at home the next three weeks before their huge game at LSU. This may get interesting if LSU wins at AL Saturday.

8. Oklahoma.....They reappear after dropping out from #3 the week prior. Big win at KST and have TX A&M at home next.

9. Nebraska..... Good win over MI ST a dominant performance on defense. They have Northwestern next at home.

10 South Carolina..... They won ugly at TN and play at Arkansas next week.

The final few spots were really tough to fill because frankly you could put almost anyone at 9 or 10 and they would be as good as teams ranked 11-20.

Dropping out:

#4 Clemson
#9 Michigan St
#10 Wisconsin

Just goes to show about #9 and #10 they both got beat this week and I am sure that #10 will be new next week as well. #9 should survive unless they get the Spartan Flu.

Well that's all for this week, please comment, get involved and be a part of the conversation. I spent a ton of time on this and while it may not be spell checked or 100% grammatically correct, who cares, I am not an English Professor, I am a fan and so are you. So if you agree, disagree or have other thoughts post em for fucks sake.

Great read Freak!! I couldn't agree more. College football is getting down to it with tons of great matchups and lots of football left!! Bama LSU is going to be a war!! I can't wait but have to watch it at a bar cuz we have a wedding and reception to go to. Not looking forward to it.
