Now that we are about half way through the season of NCAAF, I will start to make conversation and hope you join in on my topic.

I'll include my Top 10 Poll with commentary but first some week 6 observations.

#1 You just can't go into an opposing teams place, show up and just expect for them to lay down. IE Clemson vs Maryland, Oklahoma vs Kansas, GA Tech vs Virginia. Two of the three escaped with wins and GA Tech got beat SU. You're saying FREAK OK won by 30. Sure they did but the first half where were they?

#2. There are going to be at least a half dozen undefeated teams at season end. I am sure the cry for a playoff will come once again, but as in every year past, nothing changes.

#3. The first BCS poll comes out Sunday night, ESPN projects OK, AL, LSU, OK ST, WI in that order. I don't see it that way and I really don't believe the Big 12 is the best conference.

#4 Conference realignment has totally got out of hand, when does it end?

#5. Who's lying Andy Katz from ESPN or the Boise St President? Katz reports Boise St turns down Big East and tells Mountain West they aren't leaving on Friday night. Tonight, Boise St President denies the report and claims they didn't say any of it. Someone has their wires crossed here.

Frankly it would be a bad move for Boise to go to the Big Least. Based on travel costs alone. Say 3 road games a year in the Big East. Boise to Rutgers, Boise to WVA, Boise to South Florida/Central Florida. The costs would be huge, what would be the upside? The AQ to a BCS game that could bring in 8 million plus. They would have to win the conference for it to be worth the cost. The Big Least won't be in any shape glamorous at all. I wouldn't want to go to that conference unless I was some lesser known in a small conference like CUSA.

Speaking of CUSA a merge with the Mountain West and a 22 team conference? That's nuts and frankly neither conference gets ahead. Neither has an AQ and won't get one, unless the BCS takes it away from the Big Least which they should. No way I want to see Central Florida vs say Oklahoma in a bowl. Digress back to OK vs UCONN last year..... ho hum......


Now on to my Top 10

1. Alabama..... They have no true roadlocks to a undefeated season until the 11/5 match up with LSU.

2. LSU..... See Alabama above and change name.

3. Oklahoma..... They don't have a test either until meeting up with Oklahoma St on 12/3

4. Wisconsin..... If they don't go undefeated they will have only beat themselves.

5. Stanford..... USC on 10/29 then Oregon 11/12. They also can run the table.

6. Boise St..... Will go 12-0 and be out of the title picture. They will be rooting for Georgia to win every game.

7. Clemson..... They too can go undefeated but not if they start games like they today. At GA Tech on 10/29

8. Oklahoma St..... Cupcake schedule didn't impress me. Scoring 70 on Kansas was no big deal. No test until Oklahoma.

9. Oregon..... Should be interested to see how next month plays out for this team. Won't be easy.

10. Arkansas.....Only loss to AL and next big game on 11/25 vs LSU

I have absolutely nobody bubbling the Top 10.

Just think if you played a ML Parlay on the teams in the top 10 today. You went 9-0 and turned a profit of likely 2-1. Did you know Wisconsin was a 65,000-1 favorite SU?

Road favorites went 10-9 today. With a handful losing SU.

Playoffs anyone?
