Can Animal Kingdom repeat his Derby performance and steal the show at Pimlico or will it be someone else?

Damn man I am jealous! As you know I love the horses and have never been to a Triple Crown race ever and would love to get to one someday. I actually have the KY Derby on my bucket list

I am going to give you the horses to look at for Pimlico since you'll be there. I am not listing them in order of finish so you know.

Race 1 2,3,8 #2 Boreal Forest will be the big favorite. #8 will likely end up in the mix chasing and I have a hunch about #3 at ML 12-1. It's an allowance race to open the card so don't go nuts.

Race 3 3,9,12 Two longshots and the favorite.

Race 4 You'll either in heavy with Life at Ten or you don't bet him at all and go with 2 and 3. I think Life at Ten will be hard to beat but CAN be beat. If it was me, I am on the 2 and 3 here to get the upset, but don't go large.

Race 6 Vengeful Wildcat #5. A lot of money may come in on the 4, don't worry about it. Only play here is #5. I would go large here to W/P

Race 7 #10 will be bet big because of his race in the Bluegrass where he stopped big time. I'd look to the inside with Master Dunker.

Race 8 Ventana #5 will be the favorite and like Life at Ten CAN be beat. I would be looking at 2 at big odds and the 3 in this one.

Race 9 Shared Account or pass in this one. Shared account will be the HUGE favorite and will be very very tough to beat in this one. The odds are going to be low but I don't see anyone worth telling you to put some dough on. This is where you can go grab a bite to eat, beer or bathroom run time! Who knows grab some ass and have a chick ride you like a horse and she's the jockey !


Race 10 Time to take a flyer..... #3 Eighttofasttocatch will be winging on the front end and can wire this field. If it runs anything like it's last 2 races this could be lights out. Only fear is that it gets out front tires and runs near last. That's the chance you have to take but if the ML odds hold at 6-1 I would be all over it. Note that #3 can be scratched to race in race 11. If #3 don't go pass on the race.

Race 11 Paddy O Prada is the way to go here. If Eighttofasttocatch is in this race, I would use it as an exacta but can't recommend betting Eighttofasttocatch to win this race, it's a whole different ball game with this one.

Race # 12 This is such a bad Preakness. No excitement, no rivalry, no real drama. This field is full of fillers and nothing else. It's a two horse race. Animal Kingdom and Mucho Macho Man. I picked Mucho Macho in the Derby and didn't like AK. For value for me it's MMM, if it's all about just cashing a ticket then it's AK. To add to this with The Macho Man Randy Savage passing away earlier today, I have a feeling people are going to bet MMM blindly and have no clue it has nothing to do with Randy Savage.

To close:

I did this for you because you have been with me on the site for a long time and contribute. I won't have a single penny on the races because I'm still out of work and haven't bet a game or a race in a long long time. I don't have any cash online anywhere to plunk down some bets.

You got my unbiased view of the races and what I would be looking at to do in these races. Anything can happen between now and race time so use what you know and look to take advantage of situations. I've done well on big race days as you've seen in the past so hopefully my little bit of insight without going in depth about things helps you out. I feel like a tip sheet you would buy from someone standing outside the entrance.

Ventana was game and held on, gutty performance. #3 finished 4th and was too far back to make a serious run to contention.

Race 9 and 10 became a pass due to EIGHTTOFASTTOCATCH going to the 11th. Hope you had a good break, I got a bit of a nap.

Still believe the Preakness was a filler race. Don't care that Shackelford won and AK came second. The Belmont won't be any better now. This was just an average to lack luster 3 year old crop. This now makes 12 grade 1 races in a row the favorite failed and it was a big double digit payoff.

I miss the days of Sunday Silence and Easy Goer. To this day I still hate Easy Goer for crushing in the Belmont. Even though that took place, the pay back was great in the Breeders Cup.

This was a great Preakness with a lot of drama and substance.

Glad you had a good time and won some money along the way. 3 weeks until the Belmont, I don't think it's going to change much. A bunch of has beens and AK will likely show up since the distance will help him.
