BUFFALO SABRES - 130 2 units, Sabres booed off the ice after 2nd period in a error filled loss to Rangers sat. nite. Fully expect a more focused effort against Blackhawks who are still looking for chemistry with 9 new players.

WAHINGTON CAPS team total over 3 1/2 - 105 1 unit, In 20 starts against Senators Ovie with 16 G & 14 assists. Seanators outshot 74 - 44 in 2 starts , 38 - 18 against the Leafs on Sat. Caps could very well put at least 50 on net tonite

Monday is a disaster as we have an ofer , RECORD now 4 - 7 - 1 - 3.10 units
Sabres come out gangbusters , 2 goals in first 5 minutes and were dominant until Pomminville gets cheap shotted and carted off on stretcher. Were not the same team rest of game. Capitals give me a putid effort and Ovie invisible until ot and gets a gift goal to win. They really deserved to lose it. Were badly outplayed last 2 periods . On to tonite.

Vancouver Canucks - 1 1/2 + 180, Anaheim outscored 13 - 2 and outshot 145 - 72 first 3 continuing same play as in preseason. Could be worst team in league. At this rate Carlyle won't last till Christmas.

Sabres a joke right now and booed off the ice at home 3 straight times now. Very poor eforts, Connally, Vanek invisible and Calder winner Myers really struggling. Ruff 's tactics against a short handed Jersey team puzzling . Caps get 5 shots in 1st period , 23 total against Islander defense missing 2 of top 4 defenceman. Canucks outshoot Ducks 28 - 12 first 30 minutes , lead 2 - 1 and fall apart.

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS - 1 1/2 + 165 3 units, Sabres with no offensive cohesion with 9 goals in 5 games . Only Miller's play has kept games close. Lalime to start tonite , played very little in preseason because of injury and has not historically played well in these situations . Could be a very chippy game because of quick rematch after the Pomminville incident Monday . If there are lots of penalties I favor the Hawks , Sabres PP now only 2 of 17. Add in the fact that Hawks have lost first 2 at home I think Chicago wins going away. Maybe adding a play on Chicago team total over 3 also

Obviously not having a good start and nothing so far going to form. Tampa just folds totally and the Sabres who are just killing me give their best effort so far Despite that still had a chance to pull out a win as Hawks up 4 - 3 with 5 minutes and then take 3 stupid penalties in a row spoiling my chances for an empty netter .

COLORADO - 105 1 unit, no Gaborik for NY , who scores?, young Avs will at least give me an honest effort
TAMPA BAY - DALLAS OVER 5 1/2 - 120 1 unit, Stars trying uptempo style this year but giving up a lot of shots Tampa coming off shutout should be really pissed

PITTSBURGH PENQUINS - 1 1/2 + 175 1 unit, Crosby starting to heat up and Ottawa struggling, already looking to trade Kovalev and no Leclaire in net . Pens have not been impresive at home yet. Should change tonite

The Hockey Gods finally smile down on me and we get a clean sweep.

BOSTON - WASHINGTON UNDER 6 - 135 2 units. Caps not rolling yet, only blowing out undermanned NJ at home. Last 8 of 10 between these 2 have gone under this number . Bruins well play close checking style and Druin Goalie Thomas is red hot right now. See a 2-1 or 3-2 game
NASHVILLE - 1 1/2 + 205 1 unit
NASHVILLE 1st 60 minutes - 1/2 + 113 1 unit, In Flames only roadie got whacked by young Oilers 4-0. Preds a very underated team who don't get the respect they deserve. Coming off a home ot loss to Caps where they blew a 2 goal lead in last 8 minutes. Flames shut out twice already and Inglia 1 goal in last 15 games .

A Split as Boston gets up early and then shuts down the Caps. But then both goaltenders stand on their heads and we get a double regulation shutout in Nashville game.Posting for tommorrow now as I will be at work late . will also update record later. Hockey Gods humble me with maybe the worst beat I've ever had , certainly the most frustrating nite for sure. Toronto simply got outworked and never figured out the Rangers trap. But the other 3 were head scratchers. Philly and Pittsburgh dominated the play all nite outshooting opponents nearly 2 - 1. Ducks backup rookie stoned me and Fleury for Pitt lets in 2 softies which hurt. Tampa - Isles games I get 4 goals in first 28 minutes and then nothing. Its a long season , will turn this around but I may be a good fade for someone now.Onward we go !!!
SATURDAY PLAYS
BOSTON BRUINS - 1 1/2 + 175 - 2 units, Bruins have given up 3 goals in last four games , only 2 to Caps in recent home and home. Rangers resorting to playing trap system due to injuries . Won't work here and we get Thomas in goal for Bruins who has been all world last 3 starts
WASHINGTON CAPITOLS - 1 1/2 + 115 - 2 units , Caps off losing 2 in a row get Thrashers here in a back to back. Atlanta chased Tampa in an up tempo game and won't have much legs tonite.
DETROIT RED WINGS - 1 1/2 + 150 - 2 units , Ducks on 3rd game in 4 all roadies and return to play wings who shut them out 4 - 0 in season opener. Ducks still giving up nearly 40 shots per game so they will need a repeat goaltender performance from Thursday to stay close . If it happens fine but I'll take my chances they don't
PITTSBURGH PENQUINS - ML - + 110 - 1 unit, Pitt rolling now winning 4 in a row and Crosby hitting the stat sheet regularly now . Johnston is supposed to start so no softies from Fleury to worry about and Blues in off a hard fought game with the Hawks last nite . Pens at this price hard to turn down.

LA KINGS - 1 1/2 + 170 1 unit, Stars near top of league in shots allowed . That happens tonite Kings run away with this
BOSTON BRUINS 1st 60 - 1/2 1 unit . Bruins suprised me last nite but playing like the best team in Northeast . and Montreal struggles to score .
WASHINGTON - TAMPA OVER 6 - 105 1 unit, this one will be fun to watch with both teams playing a fast uptempo game. I'm thinking maybe 4- 3 or 5-4 final
