Here is today's opener from Aqueduct to get our day off to a good start:

AQU Race 1 Clm $10,000N1Y (1:00 ET)

#6 Persian Honey 4/1
#3 Selina Moon 8/5
#7 Top Lass 3/1
#2 Brief the Lady 15/1

Analysis: #6 Persian Honey is coming off a good runner up finish last out at this level, grabbing a brief lead in the stretch despite drifting out and getting passed late, beaten 3/4 of a length for the top spot. The winner was Gattinara, who came back to run a good second against open $7.5K foes in her next outing on March 12. The mare beat $25K claimers four back and was claimed out of that race by the low % Sedlacek barn and her form went south. I like the barn switch here to Baker and the jock upgrade from the bug to Lopez.
#3 Selina Moon was a game second last out against $10K non winners of three after lunging out of the gate, beaten just 3/4 of a length for the top spot. The filly was claimed out of the race by the Jacobson barn that is 14% winners first off the claim. She has done most of her best work on poly, but should appreciate the cut back to a sprint. She has landed in the exacta in 7 of 12 starts at the distance.

Wagering

WIN: #6 to win at 3/1 or better.
EX: 3,6 / 2,3,6,7
TRI: 3,6 / 2,3,6,7 / 2,3,5,6,7

Today's Featured Race of the Day from Aqueduct:

AQU Race 8 OClm $100,000N4X (4:25 ET)

#6 Mt. Glittermore
#2 Toulouse Lautrec
#5 Mor Chances
#1 Shoptate

Analysis: #6 Mt. Glittermore checked in second behind the tough Joey P., who took advantage of a speed friendly muddy track to go gate to wire at the Alw-3 level. The five year old was claimed out of the race by the Asmussen barn that is 19% winners first off the claim. He steps up a notch in class here to the Alw-4 level for the new barn. The five year old earned a career top over the surface here three back beating Alw-3 company. He seldom runs a bad one.
#2 Toulouse Laurtec earned the top last out speed fig in a sharp win versus Alw-2 optional claimers off a 5 1/2 month break, and that effort was flattered now that the runner up and third place finisher both came out of the race to win next out. A winner of 3 of 6 in his career, he now steps up to conditions while returning off a two month break. The colt still appears to have plenty of upside potential and makes his second start for the Levine barn. A tough call as the price is likely going to be on the short side.

Wagering

WIN: #6 to win at 2/1 or better.
EX: 2,6 / 2,5,6
TRI: no play

Live Longshots:

These are price plays for exotic players looking to find a couple of extra contenders to use in their trifecta and superfecta wagers. Or for those with smaller bankrolls, you might want to get in a small win-place wager.

Aqueduct

R1: #2 Brief the Lady 15/1
R2: #4 Bowman’s Music 10/1
R3: #2 Hurricane Heat 8/1
R4: #5 Trickanometry 12/1
R4: #2 Charing Cross 12/1
R6: #2 East Coaster 12/1
R6: #3 Sky Ballet 15/1
R7: #2 Johannesburg Smile 12/1
R8: #1 Shoptate 10/1
R9: #4 Emblemosophy 15/1
R9: #6 S.Z. Madison 8/1

Good luck today!

#4 Rosalinda-loved her race two starts back. She broke from the #11 post going two turns on the turf. She made the lead and held well to miss by only 2 in a tough MSW with Trujilo aboard. She came back and showed nothing for 50k sprinting on the dirt getting beat 28 lengths. She runs back today for the same claiming tag, which will help her price and they will never catch her going a flat mile back on the grass.
