Analysis: #7 Why Because stalked the early pace and finished evenly last out in a third place finish against $10K non winners of two. She caught a muddy track that was favoring speed last out. She drops a notch in class here and this gal has run into repeat winners in each of her last three outings. The cut back to six furlongs may suit and she certainly catches what appears to be a soft group here.
#3 Goodgollymissdolly exits the same two races as our top pick. She sis not handle the mud at all last out, tracing the early pace from the inside and fading badly. Her effort two back was decent, a third place finish where she had to steady when caught in tight quarters nearing the half mile pole. Worth tossing in the mix here if she goes off near her 8/1 ML.

Analysis: #4 Weathered was sixth last out in the Barbara Fritchie (G2), but was only beaten 1 1/4 lengths for the top spot and did not have clear sailing. The winner of the race was Sweet Goodbye, who returned to win the NY bred Conniver Stakes in her next start on March 13. The five year old mare has won 4 of 7 on the inner and fits this race pretty good. It is for non winners of a graded stake since Aug. 1 of 2009. She is the only one ion here that has actually won a graded stake period.
#3 Starship Angel could not catch a gate to wire winner over a speed favoring racing strip last out in a runner up finish in the Rare Treat, while 16 lengths clear of the rest of the field. She beat Alw-2 optional claimers two back at today's one mile distance. She comes in here in sharp form but does not have nearly as much class as our top pick.
