Here is today's opening race from Aqueduct to get our day off to a good start:

AQU Race 1 Clm $7,500B (12:30 ET)
#6 Frame of Reference 5/2
#9 Geno Green 7/5
#3 Mr. Vantastic 6/1
#1 Karakorum On Black 10/1

Analysis: #6 Frame of Reference takes a big class plunge here after checking in seventh last out for a $25K tag in his first go off a four month layoff. Rice claimed this guy from Pletcher for $20K where the colt earned a career top. It has been downhill since, but the colt does catch an easier spot here and figures to move forward in his second start off the bench. It looks like there is plenty of early speed signed up to go here and this guy should get a good tracking trip.

#9 Geno Green had a three race win streak snapped in his last start when he was caught at the wire and beaten a nose for a $10K tag. He was claimed back by the Brown barn that lost him two back for $12.5K. The gelding owns a solid pace profile throughout with good early and mid pace numbers. Two of his five wins have come on the inner. Brown is 24% winners (with a +ROI) first off the claim and gives a leg up to a cold jock in Jara. The price may end up too light on this gelding.

Wagering
WIN: #6 to win at 2/1 or better.
EX: 6,9 / 1,3,6,9
TRI: 6,9 / 1,3,6,9 / 1,3,6,8,9

Today's Featured Race of the Day from Aqueduct:

AQU Race 4 Busher S. (1:55 ET)
#1 Anchorage 4/1
#6 Speightful Affair 5/2
#8 Embrace Change 9/2
#3 E Z Passer 8/1

Analysis: #1 Anchorage is coming off a fourth place finish in the Busanda. The filly lost a length when stumbling out of the gate, did not take the first turn smoothly and was late switching leads in the stretch. It was her first go around two turns and her first start off a 2 1/2 month break. She figures to move forward off that effort for the red hot Pletcher barn that is hitting at a 41% clip at the meet.

#6 Speightful Affair also stumbled coming out of the gate last out, recovering to post her maiden score in her third career start. It was her first start on dirt after making her first two career starts on poly in Canada. She earned the top last out speed fig in her maiden win and still appears to have plenty of upside potential.

Wagering
WIN: #1 to win at 5/2 or better.
EX: 1,6 / 1,3,6,8
TRI: 1,6 / 1,3,6,8 / 1,3,4,6,8

Today's Featured Race of the Day from Tampa Bay Downs:

TB Race 10 Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3) (4:52 ET)

#1 Rule 8/5
#4 Middle of the Nite 9/2
#6 Uptowncharlybrown 2/1
#2 Schoolyard Dreams 6/1

#1 Rule makes his three year old debut here for the Pletcher barn. The colt capped off his two year old campaign by winning the Delta Jackpot (G3) in gate to wire fashion, earning enough graded stakes earnings to just about assure a start in the Derby. His most impressive effort came two back in the Jean Laffitt where he rolled to victory by nine lengths. The colt owns the edge in early and mid pace numbers and with the rail draw Johnny V. figures to send him early. The barn has been on a roll at Aqueduct and Gulfstream Park and is 24% winners overall with horses coming back off a 61-180 day layoff.

#4 Middle of the Nite might offer the best value in this race. The colt checked in third last out in a very tough Alw-1 race at Gulfstream park won by Eskendereya, who broke his maiden winning the Pilgrim Stakes last fall at Belmont Park. The runner up Thank U Phillippe ran fourth in the Holy Bull (G3) in his next outing on Jan. 23. The $300K purchase has plenty of pedigree to handle his first trip around two turns. He is by Offlee Wild out of a Kissin Kris mare. The colt figures to move forward in his second start off a three month break.

#6 Uptowncharlybrown is the local favorite who has won his two starts by a combined 15 lengths. The colt looked very sharp breaking his maiden in his debut by nine lengths, then returned to win the Pasco Stakes going seven furlongs by six lengths last out in his stakes debut. The only question is whether he can handle two turns. He is by Limehouse out of a Langfuhr mare that won one sprint in her eight career starts. She dropped one other foal to race, 5 for 11 Startjumpin Marnie ($121K), who won her lone start going a route.

Wagering
WIN: #1 to win at 8/5 or better.
EX: 1,4 / 1,2,4,6
TRI: 1,4 / 1,2,4,6 / 1,2,4,5,6

Live Longshots:
These are price plays for exotic players looking to find a couple of extra contenders to use in their trifecta and superfecta wagers. Or for those with smaller bankrolls, you might want to get in a small win-place wager.

Aqueduct
R1: #1 Karakorum On Black 10/1

R4: #3 E Z Passer 8/1
R8: #11 Millirock 20/1

Good luck today!

Speightful Affair scored an impressive maiden win to start her sophomore campaign two weeks ago. She is a repeat win candidate. Philly Park invader dazzling Deborah could be the main danger.
