#2 Chosen Empire- We are going for a big payday here with a live long shot. This trainer teamed up with this same jockey to win with a 40-1 shot last week. He is bred for turf but his four starts have all bee on the dirt. Her Dam won all three of her turf starts in France then finished second in all four of her races on the grass on the west cost missing by 3 heads and a neck. This trainer bought this horse and he showed speed sprinting in his first start. He then added blinkers and he made a big move to take the lead at KEE but flattened out late the first time going long. He needed that race, has four works here and they will have to catch him to win.

#7 IDE BALL comes in off a strong third place finish in the Cocodrie Stakes here at Delta last time out. He looked sharp beating a similar field before that one and definitely looks like the one to beat in very well matched field.

#4 Sr. Henry is returning off a 2 ½ month break after checking in sixth in the Autumn Stakes (G2) at Woodbine over the polytrack. The gelding is sporting an 0 for 11 mark on turf in his career, but he certainly has stepped up his game since landing with the Ken McPeek This will be just his second start on grass since switching barns and he has run well over the lawn, including finishing in the runner up spot in three stakes including the American Derby (G2) back in ’08. The gelding put in a fast work at Palm Meadows for his return for a barn that hits at an 18% clip with horses coming back off a 61-180 day layoff.

#3 Valtrus made a mild late rally to finish third last out in the Prairie Bayou over poly at Turfway Park. The six year old has done most of his best running on turf and overcame a tough start two back to finish second at this condition at Aqueduct. The winner of that race was Blues Street, who right back to win again at the same level on Jan. 3. He looks primed for a good effort here dropping out of stakes company for a sharp outfit.
