(RANK) (TEAM) (SU RECORD) (ATS RECORD) (ATS RECORD L/5 +$$)

1) Philadelphia 76ers (17-20) (18-19 ATS) (5-0 ATS L/5 +$500): Don’t look now, but the Sixers are finally living up to their pre-season hype after rattling off five straight sports betting victories for their betting backers. After competing to the final gun in a two-point loss at San Antonio, the Sixers returned home and beat the Houston Rockets outright, 104-96, as three-point home underdogs. They followed that solid victory up with an even more impressive win at Milwaukee and then went on to win and cover at home against Charlotte and on the road at Atlanta to close out the week. Andre Miller and company will look to even up their record at 20-20 this week after both Portland and San Antonio pay them a visit before they head to New York to pick Atlantic Division play back up. Philadelphia is 4-1 ATS its L/5 overall home games and 6-3 ATS its L/9 as a visitor.

2) Oklahoma City Thunder (6-33) (25-14 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290): I stated last week that Oklahoma City would give the 1971 Sixers a run for their money for the most losses in a regular season. Go figure they go out and win two games SU after winning just four throughout their first 35 games played. Along with the two wins came three more pointspread victories to improve them to the fourth most lucrative team in the NBA this season. Kevin Durant continues to shine on a nightly basis and the newly acquired Nenad Krstic has made an impact coming off the bench. The Thunder will look to improve upon their ATS home mark this week that’s seen them cash NBA bettor’s tickets in 10 of 19 games this season.

3) Minnesota Timberwolves (11-25) (17-18-1 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290): Posted last week: “Minnesota heads into this weeks action on their first two-game winning streak of the season, and that number could balloon to six in a row if their play their cards right against Memphis, OK City, Milwaukee, and Miami this week.” Well, the Timberwolves took care of business and now find themselves just one SU win away from securing the six game winning streak. This young outfit has now covered 8 of their L/10 overall with one push after beating the Milwaukee Bucks 106-104 as two-point home chalks last Saturday. After Miami on Tuesday night, the Timberwolves will hit the road for three games where they’ve posted an 11-7 ATS mark to date.

4) New Jersey Nets (8-25) (15-18 ATS) (4-1 ATS L/5 +$290): After dropping three of four both SU and ATS, the Nets have recently caught fire to even up their record at 19-19 on the year. Last week saw Vince Carter and his mates post a 3-1 SU and ATS mark to catapult themselves into the #2 slot of the Atlantic Division behind the Boston Celtics. That said; this is a starter heavy team that’s gotten little if any help from its bench all season long. How much longer can Harris and Carter take on the scoring load of this team? The upcoming week will be tough with a pair of games scheduled against Boston (away/home) with a sandwiched visit by Portland in between.
