Post you selections on daily games, winner of each group, teams to advance and the ultimate winner of the trophy.

I always pull for Holland (Netherlands) because I grew up there as a teen. My next favorites are France and Italy in that order. It's sad that they are all placed in the "group of death".

Also look for the Host nations to make it to the Quarterfinals or even to the semifinals and they are both huge longshots. FIFA has a way to help the host nation(s) make it to the 2nd round. I mean give me a break, if Japan and S. Korea can make it there in the World Cup it should tell you something.

My favorite Euro teams of alltime: Holland 1976( the best team ever not to win any trophy ), France 1984, Holland 1988 and France 2000.

I'm looking forward to your thoughts and selections. Remember that four years ago Greece won the whole thing as the longshot by beating the host nation Portugal in group play and again in the Final.

Underdog Rules!

I'm so happy that Holland beat Italy. I have bet on them in the Eurpean Cup and the World Cup since 1990 and had not won the money once. 0-8 vs the money in 18 years. What a relief. They looked damn good too.

On Wednesday I like Switzerland against Turkey in a must win game. Unload!!!!!

I'll take the Czech Republic since I'm a Bohemian. I was devastated in 1990 World Cup when Czech played Germany and got beat 1-0. Germany went on to win the World Cup that year against Italy I believe. Been awhile since Czech has been that good. It was pretty intense soccer as we has a college student exchange thug from England that transferred to Kearney NE of all places. Maybe I am glad in the long run because Czech would have played England in the Final Four if they beat Germany. I remember being at the bar and my British thug friend hanging the England flag below the TV. We had a blast until England lost and thought there was going to be a brawl. That got me into World Cup soccer.

The first big upset of Euro2008. I underestimated Crotia or I overvalued Germany's win over Poland. If Poland wins today, then it is Crotia I underestimated.

The goal line was PK -160 on Czech.

I likes under 2.5 but had to lay -170, so I passed. Under 2 goals at -110 didn't work for me either.

I played Switzerland a couple days ago and lost.

I played Holland at +180 and won.

I got a brutal beat yesterday and had the draw in the Spain game and they scored on a long pass with 1:52 in injury time. 1:08 left in regulation. That hurt! A bogus goal..

You can still play the Turkey/Czech game in progress. Several places have it up for most of the game. I play at the Greek.

No question ramins!! What a Czech collapse. You don't see that kind of soccer game very often. I am lost for words.

Pushed with Austria +1.

The unders have been solid in game 3 matches.

Although Austria and Switzerland were bad teams, I fully expected at least one of them to make it to the 2nd round, but neither did!

Germany was the favorite to win the cup. They were +415, followed by Spain at +625.

One more game left and Germany is at +210 and Spain is at +120 (in regulation). Spain to lift the cup is -155. I maybe reading too much into this, but I like Spain to lift the cup.
