Let's be a little bit serious here about our POD. If your going to post a POD post a stat, a trend or some info that will educate people as to why you made your pick the POD.

If you need suggestions, read my PODs for the last few days. Albeit 1-1 I made strong cases for my picks.

This forum is heavily visited, and there are many lurkers, let's show them why this is the best forum around bar none.

I compliment you folks whole heartedly, let's continue to kick butt.

16-3 ytd in this forum.

Miami -6

Miami has more playmakers and team speed on offense and defense. I look for Miami to run up the score on Spurrier.

Miami -6

The Hurricanes are flat out "Gator Haters" and have been for some time. They will be motivated beyond belief. Miami has quality wins against 6 bowl teams, with their only lost to a great Washington team early in the season. Gators lost to Miss State and barely won against Tennessee.

Blues -.5 +115
The Blues have lost just once in their last 15 games (13-1-1). The Blues are 5-2-1 in the last eight meetings and have won four straight on the road in the series.

Let's talk smack ok.....

Bettin on Florida and Miami FL this year has been really profitable.

Combined 17-5-0 that's a tremendous ATS mark considering the spreads these teams have to cover.

Florida averaged outscoring their opposition 37-20 this year while Miami was even more impressive 43-15

Florida averages 419 total yds of offense while giving up 346

Miami averaged 461 on O and gave up 334 on D.

Here is a case again of hearing about the Miami D and yet Florida only gave up on average 12 more yards. Does this sound familiar???

Sure it does, let me refresh you on Tampa Bay and Philly.

Now the difference here is that Philly was home, neither team has home field advantage here period.

Turnover margin Florida + 19 Miami + 12

Now lets break the #'s down further shall we...

Florida O averaged 111 on the ground while the air attack was 308....

Miami D Gives up around 113 on the ground which is close to Florida's O total.

Via the air Miami gives up 221. So that's a big drop off of what Florida normally does.

It appears Florida has their work cut out here via the air.

Now Miami on the ground averages roughly 195 yards and that is quite a bit.

Florida gives up on average 133 yards. So Miami is going up hill here as Florida via the air.

Miami O via the air attack 266 yds while Florida gives up around 213. Again up hill for Miami.

Something will have to give here. Although Floridas D #'s are staunch to Miami's OFfense they give up 20 points per game which is quite a bit for a Defense that ranks in the upper part of the country.

Let's examine here....

Florida gave up 26 points to MAC Western Michigan, 27 to Central Florida, 40 to Alabama, and 30 to Florida St.

Now I can understand Florida St, but the other 3 helloooooooo....

Now they did score 40 against against Ball st, 55 vs Middle Tennessee State, 59 vs Kentucky, 43 vs Vanderbilt, and 41 vs South Carolina...

Now only South Carolina has a defense and well those other powerhouses well.... ok you get the picture...

Now they did give up 31 to Ky, 47 to Miss St, and 30 to Florida St...

I don't know here, Fla St ok... the other 2 nahhh

Let's talk Miami

They played power Mcneese St and scored 61, 29 vs Washington 47 vs W. Va, 64 vs Rutgers, 45 vs Temple, and man on and on...

Only team with a d they played this year was Washington and Florida St they went 1-1 losing at Washington..

ON D well.... Washington scored 34 Florida St 24, and LA Tech 31.... who LA TECH???

It's true the SEC was the better of the 2 conferences bar none.

The bottom line is this......

Florida defense is suspect.....Miami will exploit the run tonight big time. Miami can pass as well, and I take you back to the last game Florida played..... Auburn, what did they do run run run, and of course turnover city.

Miami wont be turn over city tonight, their defense will pressure the QB into at least 2 int's tonight and 1 fumble, and I would say 4 sacks. Heck that could be just in the first 1/2.

Miami covers the 6 1/2 and gives their fans 1 more day of a chance at a split.
