The line seems low, trying to suck in players on GB. But GB looks like the right side!

I did the numbers on the games like I do for every game. This is what I came up with.

Packers -2.5 total of 44
Dallas -16 total of 48
Indy -12 total of 39.5

From my past experience on these lone TV games, the 2 big dogs will get crushed, just like Tampa did last year. Detroit has a chance but I'm not sure.

nahh, 3 dogs come in tomorrow. 3 "not too popular dogs" IMO.
The pack have been on fire, winning and covering alot. They are the 2nd best team in the league winninging something like 12 of last 13 going back to ly. Detroit has a winning record for a change headed into T-day, and are still receiving a ton on negative press in detroit.

here is a CUT & PAST Article for your viewing pleasure:

THE LIONS FINALLY HAVE A GOOD TEAM,AND WINNING ON TURKEY DAY IS A BIG DEAL FOR THEM

Here are some facts for you!

The Detroit Lions have maintained a heralded tradition of playing on Thanksgiving Day since 1934. In 2003, the club upended their most prominent Turkey Day rival, the Green Bay Packers, 22-14 -- marking the Lions' 11th win in 17 attempts (one tie) on the national holiday within the series. Overall, the Lions have hosted 64 Thanksgiving classics. Last November, the Lions welcomed Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts to Ford Field for a Thanksgiving clash, only the second holiday affair between the inter-conference foes. Here is a look at some facts and figures revolving around the historic annual contest.

The series began with a 19-16 loss to the Chicago Bears on November, 29, 1934.

A total of 64 games have been played with the Lions owning a 33-29-2 edge over their opponents.

More than three million fans have witnessed the Lions' Thanksgiving Day games in person. The total attendance for the first 62 games is 3,428,994, an average of 55,306 fans per contest. The 1990s games were attended by 762,443 fans (76,244 average).

The first Thanksgiving game that was televised came on November 22, 1956 when the Lions lost to the Packers, 24-20.

Total 66 33-31-2
The series began with a 19-16 loss to the Chicago Bears on November 29, 1934.

A total of 65 games have been played with the Lions owning a 33-30-2 edge over their opponents.

More than 3.6 million fans have witnessed the Lions’ 65 Thanksgiving Day games. The total attendance for the first 65 games is 3,616,323, an average of 55,636 fans per Thanksgiving game, including 762,443 fans (76,244 average) in the 1990s.

The Lions have played 21 different teams since the first Thanksgiving Day game. The two most common opponents have been the Packers (17 times) and Bears (15 times).

The two highest scoring games were a 44-40 Packers' win in 1986 and a 52-35 Detroit romp over Green Bay in 1951.

The lowest scoring game was a 12-0 Philadelphia win in the 1968 "Mud Bowl."

Only eight times in the Thanksgiving Day series has a game been decided by three points or less, with the Lions' record standing at 4-4-2 in those meetings.

The most lopsided game was a 45-3 Lions win over Pittsburgh in 1983.

Seven shutouts have been recorded, but only one by the Lions (20-0 over the Bears in 1979).

Two Thanksgiving Day games have gone into overtime. The first came in 1980 when the Bears' David Williams returned the opening kickoff of OT for a 95-yard touchdown. At the time, the game marked the shortest overtime game in NFL history (21 seconds). The most recent overtime game occurred in 1998 when the Lions defeated the Steelers 19-16 on a 42-yard Jason Hanson field goal in a game that will be remembered for the controversial coin toss before overtime began.

Personally I think the team is going in the wrong directions. I am from the Detroit area. Looks like a rebellion could happen if players take Kitna words to heart. It was in todays Detroit News Kitna blaming everyone but himeself.

Heres the story

Kitna has to take some responsibility for Lions' loss

DETROIT -- Clearly, Jon Kitna was frustrated on Sunday. But instead of being mad at his teammates, he should have been ticked off about his play.

After a loss in the biggest game of the season, Kitna, the Lions' starting quarterback, shed his leader role and instead threw his teammates under the bus. These are the guys whom he said before the season would "win at least 10 games."

Kitna's passionate postgame interview should have been about him not getting the job done.
Nope.

First, he went after the Giants, dissing them. Worse, Kitna steamed about his teammates not doing their jobs, probably because they didn't bail him out in the Giants' 16-10 victory at Ford Field.

"I can't do anything for them," Kitna said when asked how to bring his teammates together for the Thanksgiving Day game against the Packers. "You have to look inside yourself.
"It's all on you. It's not about the leadership. It's about you being a man and being accountable for your job."

Not once, however, did Kitna take responsibility for his woeful play. What a shocker. Nothing ever seems to be his fault.

He could've been a hero

Forget about the 377 passing yards. Kitna threw three interceptions, including two big ones in the final two minutes of the game.

For sure, there was no mistaking Jon Kitna for John Elway on this day.
It was set up for Kitna to be the hero, for him to lead the Lions on a winning touchdown drive that would change so much.

It would have put the Lions (6-4) in the driver's seat for a postseason spot.
It would have given them the confidence they need -- finally beating a good team in a big-time situation. Best of all, it would have put to rest all the talk about the Lions being the same old sad sacks they have been the previous seven years.

Just a journeyman

After Sunday's debacle, no one can believe in the Lions, let alone Kitna.
"We let a game get away from us," Kitna said. "In November and December, you cannot let a team come in and beat you at your place that is not better than you.

"You are trying to make a playoff run. This isn't high school football, you are making a playoff run. It's unacceptable to me."

The same has to be said about the way Kitna played when it mattered most.
Sure, Mike Martz's offensive game plan is questionable, especially when it excludes Calvin Johnson and the running game.

Still, Kitna, who is proven to talk a good game, had a chance to prove that he isn't what we all know he is -- a journeyman quarterback who can't make the big play.

In the last two years, Kitna, whose career winning percentage of .410 is second-worst of any current starter in the NFL, has been in position to turn the Lions into winners.

He has failed.

Remember the game the Lions won when Kitna threw that TD at the end?
You can't? That's because there hasn't been one. How sad.

Where was Johnson?
After Calvin Johnson's 35-yard TD with 4:34 left in the fourth quarter gave the Lions a chance to win at the end, to shock the Doubting Thomases that are growing in numbers with each second-half loss, Kitna, somehow, forgot about the misused talented receiver.
Instead, six of the next seven passes went to Shaun McDonald -- two wound up interceptions for the Giants. One interception was underthrown in the end zone and the other was too high and skipped off McDonald's fingertips.

"There are lots of plays I'd love to have back," Kitna said. "But I don't think there was a decision I had to make today that I would change at that time."

Some Lions weren't fully buying Kitna's knock on the Giants. They simply blamed themselves.

"That's his opinion, but I give them credit," Damien Woody said. "The key thing about this game was that we had opportunities to capitalize.

"For as bad as we played on offense, we had chances to go ahead and win the game."
Kitna, not just his teammates, couldn't get the job done. Period.
